Don Bosco Oratory organised all Goa 3 X 3 Basketball Tournament in association with Goa Basketball Association for the girls and boys category of U-10, U-13, and U-16. It was held at Don Bosco Oratory Panjim on 27th and 28th April 2024. It was nice to see the response of the different teams from all over Goa. There were about 93 teams who had registered for the tournament in three categories. On the first day U-13 and U-10 played their matches, In the category of girls team, the first place was bagged by Don Bosco Panjim and the runners up was Don Bosco Fatorda. In the category of boys, the first place was bagged by Libania Cagers A and the runners up were of the same team Libania Cagers B. The finals of the U-13 was held on 28th along with the U-16. It was a neck to neck fight between the teams. In the U-13 boys finals were won by DBO Fatorda A, the runners up were Sonics A and in the third place Fantastic 4 Don Bosco high school Panjim. In the girls category of U-13 Sonics A emerged as winners, The runners up were DBO Fatorda and in the third place Fatima Wicked Crew. The first place In the Boys category of U-16, was bagged by Euronation, the runners up were sonics A and in the third place DBO Fatorda A. In the girls category of U-16, the winners were Sharda Mandir School, the runners up were Sonics A and on the third place Fatima Hoopers. Fr. Tony De’souza inaugurated the basketball tournament on the first day. On the final day Fr.Tamatur Cardozo, the Chief guest of the day distributed Medals, Certificates, Trophies and a gift voucher for the winning teams. The prize distribution ceremony concluded with words of gratitude for the organizers and a two word message for the participants – “ To bounce back in life like the basketball”.
