Don Bosco Oratory Membership Details

Guest Members

Guest Members are our Guests and request the use of the oratory facilities only for a DAY! The Regular member (Patron/Life/Yearly/Half yearly) has precedence over the guest member in the use of facilities.

A Guest Member is generally expected to use the facility on recommendation of a Regular Member of the oratory.

Any member who uses the facilities of the oratory without a guest membership or any other membership is entitled to a fine, unless s/he has taken explicit permission. Every member is duty bound to abide by the spirit of oratory and maintain proper conduct.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is the intention of Don Bosco to make its facilities available to the majority of youth, especially the poor. Those youngsters who find it difficult to pay the fees for whatever reason are requested to meet the director or Rector of Don Bosco for whatever waver needed.

Maintenance of facilities does cost, and the fee is only a nominal amount to defray the same. This should not be a hindrance to make the facilities available for proper use! Recommendations from any Salesian, Diocesan or Religious Priest or Nun are welcome.

Half Yearly Memberships

Half Yearly Membership to the Oratory entitle a member to use the facility for six months only. The Half Yearly membership period begins from month of registration or from 1st of Jan each year. The Membership card allows the member privileges within the oratory precincts for six months.

The Half yearly registration fees in 2 categories are: Working: 1000/- Student: 500/-

Yearly Memberships

Yearly Membership to the Oratory entitle a member to use the facility for a whole year. The Yearly membership period begins from 1st of July each year and ends on 30 June of the following year. The Membership card allows the member privileges within the oratory precincts for a year. Yearly membership to the oratory denote the members attachment and commitment to the oratory.

DBO Life Members

Life members enjoy a life time membership and other privileges in the Oratory to their close family members only. To avoid the annual renewal of membership each year, a life member on payment of a substantial fee, will be awarded a life time membership benefit. Life Members are given privileges over an ordinary member of the oratory.

How you can be a Life Member? Any person who has been associated with Don Bosco Oratory for over 10 years can apply to be a Life Member. Those who wish to be Life members, would have to apply to the director of the Oratory on a prescribed form stating their desire to do so and willingness to abide by the Oratory spirit. The list of applicants will then be tabled at the House Council/Management of Don Bosco Panjim Community, who after reflection and acknowledgement of their services would accept the applicant to be a Life Member. Not more than 25-30 members will be accepted as Life Members within the years 2013-2017.

What are the benefits of being a Life Member? A Life Member is a member of the larger Salesian Family. S/He would be invited on certain occasions to participate in the common Salesian Program. In all facilities of the Oratory s/he will have a special concession and preference. For all use of facilities of different events organised by the Patron, the facilities will be made available at 20% discount only. S/he would enjoy a life time membership to the Oratory with certain benefits and privileges.

Patrons Membership

Our Patrons are our exclusive members. The DBO has opened its doors to a select few Patron Members who have contributed to the works and development of Don Bosco Oratory in Panjim. The facilities are made affordable at nominal rates because of individuals like these. We thank our PATRONS for their support, generosity and dedication towards the institute.

How you can be a Patron? Any person who has been associated with Don Bosco Oratory for over 15 years can apply to be a Patron Member. Those who wish to be patron members, would have to apply to the director of the Oratory on a prescribed form stating the intentions why he wishes to do on a prescribed form. The list of applicants will then be tabled at the House Council/Management of the Don Bosco Panjim Community, who after reflection and acknowledgement of their services would accept the applicant to be a Patron Member. Not more than 5-7 members will be accepted as Patrons within the years 2013-2017.

What are the benefits of being a Patron? A Patron is a special member of the Salesian Family. S/he would be invited to join in the planning and discussion of the Oratory development. S/He would be invited for all major functions of the oratory and the Don Bosco's complex. In all facilities of the Oratory s/he will have a special concession and preference. For all use of facilities of different events organized by the Patron, the facilities will be made available at 50% only. S/he would enjoy a life time membership to the Oratory with special benefits and privileges.
