The Provincial Team visit to Don Bosco Panjim was a special moment for Don Bosco Oratory Panjim, the premier activity of the salesians in Goa. The Salesian presence in the Panjim province is proud to have followed the footsteps like Valdocco beginning its salesian ministry with a humble Oratory. Today this oratory has developed into a multi-complex with School, Higher secondary, Night school, Graduate & Post graduate college, Hostel, aspirantate, Shrine, and Counselling centre.
Today, the Provincial, Fr. Felix Fernandes in the presence of the Vice Provincial, Fr. Avil Rodrigues, the Economer, Fr. Jose Sequeira, Fr. Savio Gomes (Rector), Fr. Joel D’Souza (Prefect of Studies), Fr. Ralin De Souza (Oratory Director) and all the aspirants, launched the official website of the oratory: www.donboscooratory.com. Recalling the humble beginnings of the salesian ministry, the Provincial invited the aspirants and all gathered to say the Hail Mary, and invoked Don Bosco blessings on this new virtual space salesian mission of the Oratory.
Fr. Ralin, then explained to the gathering the pattern of this multi-platform compatible website. He said that we were indeed blessed by Don Bosco to be lucky to get the website name as www.donboscooratory.com. Since the availability was also seen, the oratory has also reserved the .in space.
In this first phase of the website, the user-friendly site only presents the host of activities done under the banner of the oratory. The activities range from Sports, Religious, value based, tie-ups, Music, Dance, etc. The memberships to the oratory are also invited and the facilities available to the public and the members are explained. There is also a space reserved for the counselling centre attached to the oratory. The Carreno Counselling Centre offers counselling and career/aptitude testing.
The interactive section will be the next stage of the site, where youth forum, and counselling points will be available on line.
The site was developed by Electro Curve Marketing Solutions a new start-up company, launched by a DBO member, Mr. Gilbert Mendes.
